1. Application Status & Deadline
The MBBS program for Fall 2026 intake is now open.
All applicants must apply only through Xiamen University’s official online application system:

Note:
Applicants graduating in 2026 may submit a pre-graduation certificate issued by their school. The final diploma may be submitted after enrollment.
2. Language of Instruction & English Proficiency
Accepted English proficiency proof:
Applicants whose previous education was fully conducted in English may submit an official certificate from their school instead of a test score.
3. Academic Background & CSCA Examination
Applicants must have completed high school science education, including:
Biology (compulsory)
Mathematics
Physics and/or Chemistry

All international applicants are required to submit CSCA results.

The CSCA exam is comparable to the SAT.
2026 is a pilot year — no fixed cutoff score is set. Submission of results is required; final admission decisions are based mainly on academic performance and interview results.
4. Age Requirement
Applicants under 18 years old may apply only if they have a legal guardian residing in China and submit the required guardian declaration form with signatures.
Applicants aged 18–25 meet the standard age requirement.
Applicants aged 26–30 may still apply; however, they will be subject to more comprehensive background review, including academic history and study motivation.
Applicants above 30 are generally not recommended to apply.
5. Pre-Admission / Pre-Acceptance Letter
Pre-admission or pre-acceptance letters are NOT issued upon request.
Such letters are generated only after:
Applicants are advised NOT to contact professors, departments, or third parties regarding pre-admission letters.
6. Transfer Policy
Xiamen University does NOT accept transfer students into the MBBS program.
Transfers from other medical universities are not permitted at any stage.
7. Fees & Estimated Expenses (RMB)
Tuition: 38,000 / year
On-campus accommodation (double room): 1,600 / year
Insurance: 800 / year
Medical examination: 400 (one-time)
Estimated living expenses: ~2,000 / month
8. Scholarships
Available scholarships include:
Fujian Provincial Government Scholarship (HSK Level 3 required)
Xiamen University scholarships
School- and college-level freshman scholarships
Scholarship evaluation is conducted after admission qualification review.
Advance scholarship commitments or pre-assessments are not provided.
9. Recognition & Licensing Disclaimer
The MBBS program is officially recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
Graduates may be eligible to sit for medical licensing examinations in various countries; however, licensing regulations are determined by each country’s authorities.
Xiamen University does not guarantee licensing eligibility in any specific country.
