MBBS New Year Potluck: A Great Wish to All

Leaders and coordinators of MBBS program organized a new year potluck for students during winter vacation at Room 103, Aili Building on February 3rd, 2021.


At the potluck, students and teachers brought their hand-made food to share with others. A great diversity of delicacies joined the new year potluck party, with Chinese and Indian cuisines playing the major roles. There were traditional Chinese Spring rolls, Tong’an fried chicken, Amoy pie, Indian Samosa, Kaju kattli, cholle, chick-pea, yellow curry rice and spaghetti, pizza, toasted chicken and whatever you name it.



MBBS Students learned to make Chinese spring rolls, make Chinese red lanterns and know the meaning behind Chinese characters on spring festival scrolls while introduced their cuisine and culture to teachers.  




“Today is the most prosperous day of the year. It is the day meaning “the begin of Spring” in Chinese lunar calendar. I wish all of you happiness, good luck and good score in the new year,” Zhang Jian’an, the Secretary of the School of Medicine, said to the students. The Vice Dean of the Medical School Professor Li Wei also expressed his benediction to the students.  




When the potluck came to an end, students are given festival gifts including Wangwang Dalibao, New Year meal coupons, and blessed festival decorations. We want our students to feel care and love at this special time, and we wish all of our students have a harvest Niu Year, a representative of MBBS Management Team said.
