Lifestyle intervention for the prevention of gestational diabetes mellitus and adverse maternal outcomes among pregnancies at a high risk for gestational diabetes mellitusA total of 281 cases (139 in the intervention group and 142 in the control group) were included in the analyses. The incidences of GDM and adverse maternal outcomes were all significantly lower in the intervention group than those in the control group. Multivariate logistic regressions indicated that pregnancies in the intervention group had a lower risk of GDM and adverse maternal outcomes (all P<0.05), after adjusting the potential confounding factors. The lifestyle intervention should be a promising prevention as it is associated with a lower risk of GDM and adverse maternal outcomes.
