Xiamen University, a beautiful and prestigious university which is also ranked as top 20 university in China, it is a place that nurtured many excellent students over the past years. My name is Alice Kang J.Y., a medical student from Xiamen University, School of Medicine and I am proud to be accepted into the MBBS course.

Friends and relatives often ask me the reason for choosing XMU, China. In School of medicine (SOM), XMU, they offer the best and advance infrastructure, medical facilities and teaching environment for medical students. Besides that, the university has attentive professors that are willing to guide us and teach us during our 5 years in XMU. SOM,XMU is also found in the World Directory of Medical Schools, with that there are benefits for students to practice medicine in any country eg. UK. The curriculum in SOM offers hands on experience for medical students. for example, during first year I was able to dissect the cadaver in anatomy lab classes which had greatly help me in understanding the anatomy of the human body.

I think that XMU, Xiang An campus offers the best study environment for students as it is considered a rural area with less entertainment. On the other hand, I like to visit the library in Xiang An campus which is the biggest and resourceful building in XMU. I often go there to study after class as it provides a quiet atmosphere for me to concentrate on my studies. Besides that, Xiang An campus is a place full of greenery which is very eco-friendly as it is far away from the buzzing city. Thus, it brings the benefit of a healthy lifestyle for students here.

I have never regretted choosing XMU. In this place I learn to pursue excellence and strive for perfection just like the motto of the university and right here I had gain a lot of knowledge, experience and precious friends. I hope Xiamen University can continue to shine brighter in the future and gain many achievements.
